Item description

Pagoda PRO with a long cable

Total antenna length is approx. 205 mm (±5 mm). Thanks to the long cable, the antenna mounted on your goggles sits above your head. Your head doesn't block the signal, so you can fly behind you without worrying about video breakup.

The Pagoda is a versatile omnidirectional antenna with circular polarization. You don't need to point it at the drone, and it works equally well on the transmitter and on the receiver.

It was designed to be as small and as durable as possible. The PRO version meets both goals and also offers 95% efficiency and an axial ratio (AR) of 1.3. A low AR means the antenna rejects waves of the opposite polarization well, for example signals reflected from buildings or trees. In practice, this means less video interference when flying close to obstacles.

Main advantages of the Pagoda antenna

  • very good omnidirectional radiation pattern
  • low axial ratio
  • small size
  • durable and lightweight
  • works as both a transmitting and receiving antenna

Why Prodrone antennas?

  1. Careful soldering.
  2. Quality materials.
  3. Precise assembly for good performance and repeatability.
  4. Every antenna is checked on an analyzer before shipping.

Why is measuring every antenna so important? 5.8 GHz antennas require very precise, repeatable manufacturing and as little solder as possible. A change in dimensions or shape of 0.1 mm, or even a little extra solder on a joint, changes the antenna's parameters. Even with our precision, the unit-to-unit spread reaches 100-150 MHz, which is why we additionally tune every antenna.

Every antenna has a label with its basic parameters, including the frequency range where it performs best. You know right away which channels to use to get the most out of it.
