Item description

Mi-Cross V3 is a small directional crosshair antenna for 5.8 GHz. We developed it specifically for racing pilots: it gives you directional range in a size that sits neatly on your goggles. It is a smaller version of our best-selling Xtreem Cross-air V3 antenna.

In Mi-Cross V3 we slightly improved the geometry of the radiator.

This is the smallest crosshair antenna on the market. Despite its small size, its performance is very good.

Range and a wide beam

It works well on medium- and long-range flights. The wide beam (up to 130 degrees, slightly wider than the Xtreem Cross-air) and low axial ratio make our Mi-Cross antenna very well suited to flying close to obstacles. The signal reaches you even from behind bushes and trees.

A wide beam means the drone does not have to stay exactly in front of you to keep a strong signal. A low axial ratio means the polarization is close to perfectly circular, so the antenna rejects reflected signals better and the link stays steady as the drone rolls and turns.

Tuned for Raceband

Across almost the whole Raceband, VSWR is below 1.2:1. Each antenna is individually tuned, so it is well matched on almost every Raceband channel and very little signal is lost to mismatch.

Short semi-rigid cable

We also shortened the cable so the antenna fits your goggles better. The cable we use is rated for operation up to 18 GHz. It is a semi-rigid cable: you can bend it in almost any direction and it keeps the shape you give it, so you can aim the antenna where you fly. No adapters needed.

Key advantages

  • Each antenna is individually tuned
  • Small size
  • Quick and easy to mount and remove (nuts that make tightening easier are included)
  • Low weight: only 12 g
  • Very wide beam
  • Works with any receiver (Rapidfire, True-D, True-D X, Pro58, RX5808, etc.)
  • Fits DJI
  • We can tune it to match antennas you bought from our shop earlier: just enter the details from your antenna labels in the order notes.

Mi-Cross V3 specifications

Band: 5.8 GHz
Polarization: circular
Antenna type: directional
VSWR: below 1.2
Gain: 9 dBi
Beamwidth: 80 degrees (up to 130 degrees at shorter distances)
Polarization: RHCP or LHCP
Connector: SMA or RP-SMA
Cable length: ~40 mm
Overall antenna length: ~65 mm
Antenna weight: 12 g

Fatshark goggles, the video receiver (VRX) and the second omnidirectional antenna are not included.

Based on an idea by Alex Greve.

Remember that this is a directional antenna. Flying behind you (outside the antenna beam) without a second, omnidirectional antenna can lead to signal loss.
