The crosshair, Prodrone style
The Xtreem Cross-air is our compact crosshair-style directional antenna with circular polarization. At around 65 mm long it delivers 10 dBi and a beam up to 120°, so it extends range without a tracker or precise aiming. The 5.8 GHz V3 holds VSWR below 1.3 across the whole Raceband and handles up to 50 W. Every unit is measured, and crosshairs that don't get below 1.2 are not sold.
Versions
- Xtreem Cross-air V3 5.8 GHz, 10 dBi: also in Low Band versions for 5.2 and 5.5 GHz.
- Xtreem Cross-air 2.4 GHz V2 and Xair V3 1.2 GHz, 10 dBi: for links on lower bands.
- MiCross, 9 dBi: smaller and lighter, also in a short version and in goggle sets, including MiCross_S2 for Walksnail Avatar.
- XS Crossair, 10 dBi: a stub version and the XS2 set for digital systems.
- Sets: Xtreem Cross goggles set, cross_digi LR, Mi-array for diversity receivers, and 2.4 GHz sets, including one for Toslon bait boats.
You pick the polarization (RHCP or LHCP) and connector (SMA or RP-SMA) when ordering. More on choosing one in 5.8 GHz directional antenna, 10 dBi, circular polarization.
FAQ
Cross-air or helical?
The Cross-air has a wide beam and is short, so it suits goggles and flying without a tracker. A 12- or 18-turn helical gives more gain but a narrow beam, best with a tracker.
Cross-air or MiCross?
The Cross-air has 10 dBi, the MiCross 9 dBi in a smaller package. Choose the MiCross when weight and space on the goggles matter.
